What Happened
The pandemic caused disruptions across all significant industries in the global supply chain. Factories shut down, material costs skyrocketed, ocean freight shortages and a lack of truck drivers have led to shortages of everything.

Healthcare Workplace Violence
75% of the nearly 25,000 workplace assaults occur in healthcare settings according to The Join commission report. This massive issue is so pervasive in healthcare settings that many workers consider it to be simply part of the job.
What Happened
A surge in healthcare workplace violence is taking place during the pandemic. Healthcare workers have faced an increase in violence against them which has led many to leave or consider leaving the workforce.

POM Team Outings
The POM team enjoyed multiple outings this month. Our team attended the HCP Annual Conference where we shared the importance of home care worker safety and spent a night at Bowlero Chelsea Piers sharing some laughs and bowling a few strikes!
Featured Cause: Community Health Care Services Foundation, INC.
Founded in 1989, CHC is an affiliate of the New York State Association of Health Care Providers, Inc. (HCP), and was established as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education and research foundation dedicated to servicing home care organizations and their employees. CHC offers variety and value, offering a wide variety of affordable educational programs for all types of home care employees. Through its grants projects, CHC provides essential information and services that enhance the quality of care, provider efficiency and the cost-effective delivery of home and community-based care services.
Making A Difference
Fathers form a group, “Dads on Duty” to help create a safer environment for their kids to learn in a Louisiana high school. They have energized the school with morning greetings, laughter and tough love.
What Happened
In the span of 72 hours, a series of fights at a Louisiana high school resulted in nearly two dozen students getting arrested, suspended or expelled. In response, a group of dads stepped up to form a squad to help stop violence.
